- Training Commission Regulations
Point 1. The Teaching Commission of INSMLI is a direct outgrowth of the Board of Directors and is connected, therefore, with the Scientific Committee. The Commission's specific terrain of commitment is the development of the relationship between research and teaching. In this sense, its action is a key element in the collaboration between INSMLI and MIUR.
Point 2. The specific function of the Commission is that of constructing an intersection between the educational policy choices of the National Institute -- which the Commission helps to define -- and those of the network, representing the key link without which the educational activity of the Institutes would be a sum of scattered experiences. In this sense, the Commission is also a place of theoretical production and of elaboration of proposals directed either toward the national organizations or to the network in its entirety or to aggregations of Institutes interested in particular aspects of education. Its primary tasks are those of activating the network on common projects, informing the network of institutes about the initiatives of member institutes, and seeking strategies for resource sharing.
Point 3. The Commission's role makes its members' function essential to the associative relationships. The Commission consists of a President and from ... members, of which one has the function of secretary. The Commission is nominated by the Board of Directors of INSMLI.
Point 4. The term of the Commission is established at two years, but the President of the Commission may, in response to particular needs, propose to the Board of Directors of INSMLI changes or additions to the composition of its membership during the course of a term.
Point 5. The central function of the Commission in respect to the educational policies of the network clearly distinguishes it from the activity of LANDIS, which is an associated institute recognized by MIUR and specifically dedicated to teaching research. The Commission can avail itself of the work of LANDIS in accordance with their reciprocal specificities, the two organizations being convergent but distinct.
